I started my locs on Friday, November 20, 2015. After years of talking about it and debating, I finally started the process. I think what took me so long was the thought of not being able to straighten it. Oh, and not washing it. I'm struggling terribly with the not washing it. I haven't thought about not being able to straighten it. The shrinkage is real tho! It's so long but you wouldn't know it. My stylist gave me some home remedies for the itching. I never thought to use lemon juice or Apple cider vinegar! Hopefully they work!
